Hotel & Free Shuttle Packages Make October 17 Placer Valley Wine & Art Party Affordable & Safe

Rocklin, CA. - 10/6/2009: A dozen Roseville and Rocklin hotels are offering special discounted promotional packages for the 2nd Annual Placer Valley Wine & Art Party, scheduled for Saturday evening, Oct. 17 at Fountains at Roseville. The packages all include event tickets and a hotel stay, breakfast the next morning, a complimentary bottle of wine, and some even offer additional nights at a deep discount.

The hotel packages, combined with free shuttle service, will help to make the event safe and affordable. Beginning at 5:45 p.m., the shuttle will run between the hotels and the event, and beginning at 10:30 p.m., the shuttle will add an "After Party" stop to the route: Bar Basic in Roseville's Historic Old Town. The shuttle will continue to run from Bar Basic back to the hotels until 2 a.m.

Tickets for the Wine & Art Party are priced at only $15 in advance, and $20 at the gate. The price includes "Premium Passport" tastings of nearly 40 varietals from 15 wineries, the art show, a commemorative wine glass, and a concert featuring three great regional bands: the Spazmatics, Chicago Tribute Authority and GG Amos. More than 50 prominent artists will exhibit their works along the Fountain's beautiful Main Street.

Safety for partygoers is the prime reason the shuttle service is being offered, according to Greg Van Dusen, CEO of Placer Valley Tourism. "We are working with our hotels and sponsors to do everything possible to make this an amazing event," Van Dusen said. "The shuttle makes it possible for attendees to forget about driving so they can enjoy the party and their hotel room with no worries."

The event promises to be one of the biggest parties of the year in Placer County. Some 2,500 are expected to attend the outdoor affair. Festive food concessions will be offered by Whole Foods and Randy Peters Catering. For those who use all the free tastings on their "Premium Passport," full-sized glasses of wine and beer also can be purchased.

The participating hotels are Best Western Roseville Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, Galleria Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn Roseville, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Roseville Galleria, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Larkspur Landing Roseville, Residence Inn by Marriott, Roseville SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Roseville TownPlace Suites by Marriott and Staybridge Suites Rocklin. Other hotels were expected to be added to the list.

Fountains at Roseville is located at the intersection of Galleria Boulevard and Roseville Parkway in Roseville, just a few blocks off Highway 65.
