Tickets go on sale for 2nd Annual Placer Valley Wine & Art Party
Rocklin, CA. - 8/10/2009: Tickets go on sale today for the 2nd Annual Placer Valley Wine & Art Party, scheduled for Saturday evening, Oct. 17, at Fountains at Roseville. The event will feature three major regional bands, outstanding artists from Placer Arts, and wine tasting from 14 premium Placer County wineries.
Perhaps most significant is the ticket price. In light of the current economic climate, Placer Valley Tourism CEO Greg Van Dusen said, "Our board of directors has authorized us to present a top quality wine, art and music event in a great location, and to offer tickets to the public for only $15 per person. We think it is important that we have an opportunity to show off some of the best tourism attractions of our region at a really affordable price."
Attendance is expected to exceed last year's crowd, which was just under 2,000 people. "The feedback from last year was terrific," said Van Dusen." Everyone enjoyed the quality of the Placer wines and artists, and loved the party music we brought in. We had more people than we expected, which caused some logistics issues, but those are the good problems to have—the problems of success."
The wine tasting at this year's Wine & Art Party will be conducted under the "Premium Passport" system, which enables each guest to taste wines from each of the 14 wineries present. Wine tasting is included in the ticket price.
Tickets are available around the clock online at www.placertourism.com, or by calling 1-800-773-0522 during regular business hours.
