Loomis Eggplant Festival
Loomis is pleased to present a fine venue of arts, crafts, food, and contests for your pleasure - including free entertainment all day long.Our food vendors will be offering everything from pizza, eggplant parmesan, eggplant pakora, seafood, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ dishes, snacks and cold beverages for every taste! Lincoln All-American City Rib Festival
Lincoln's All-America City Rib Festival is held every fall in historic Downtown Lincoln. The Ribfest begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 7 p.m. Rib cookers will be a big attraction of course ... but by no means the only attraction. (916) 497-1302
Placer Farm & Barn Tour
The Placer Farm and Barn Tour celebrates Placer County's agricultural heritage and the family farms that feed us. This is a fun-filled day for families and people of all ages to explore the farms and ranches that dot Placer County's rural landscape. The center point of the day is PlacerArts' AGROart Competition at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed in Loomis, where artists of every age craft quirky sculptures out of fresh fruits and vegetables and vie for cash prizes. Art, Verse & Vines
Discover Hidden Treasures in the Sierra Foothills. Art, Verse and Vines combines three of Placer Valley's annual agriculture festivals into one fun-filled weekend. Begin the weekend with the Art Studios Tour, followed by the Cowpoke Fall Gathering on Saturday, and finish your weekend by attending the Fall Winery Tour. (530) 885-5670
Mountain Mandarin Festival
Held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, the two-day festival launches the Mandarin Orange harvest season, one of the Sierra Foothills golden treasures. Food vendors, arts and crafts booths, cooking demonstrations featuring regionally known chefs, the Mandarin Recipe Contest for amateur cooks, live music and dance are among the entertainment activities featured throughout the festival. Hot Chili, Cool Cars
Hosted by the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the City of Rocklin and local businesses, Hot Chili & Cool Cars is an annual event held in September where more than 100 classic car owners and dozens of chili cooks compete for a variety of prizes. Events may include bobbing for jalapenos, chili eating, water balloon and hula hoop contests, face painting and, of course, live music. (916) 624-2548
Woofstock
Held at Johnson-Springview Park in Rocklin, is Placer County's premier canine event and last year drew a crowd estimated at 6,000 people (not including their dogs!). The event benefits area canine rescue groups. (916) 768-9781
