This year is extra special because Placer SPCA is celebrating their 50th anniversary and are proud to continue in their mission to enhance the lives of Placer County’s companion animals and support the human-animal bond.
Barktoberfest is a free, family- and dog-friendly community festival with pawsome vendor booths, food trucks, live performances, K-9 demonstrations, raffle prizes, canine contests (i.e. Best Dog and Human Costume, Best Pet Trick, Best Musical Sit), and more! The fun begins at 10am and concludes at 4pm.
Canine Contests will kick-off beginning at 10:30am and prizes will be awarded to contest winners! Guests interested in entering the Canine Contests are encouraged to start planning their costumes and visit placerspca.org to see the contest categories and register in advance.
Guests ages 21 and over can purchase tickets to the Barktoberfest Biergarten, which begins at noon and closes at 3:00pm (VIP ticket holders can enter at 11:30am). General admission tickets are $40 and ticket holders will enjoy unlimited brew and wine tastings. Those with VIP tickets ($100) will have perks including early entry, indoor/outdoor access, a souvenir tasting stein, unlimited tastings (brew, wine, and spirits), plus small bites from some of the area’s most popular eateries. Biergarten tickets are available online and prices will go up on the day of the event. (Biergarten guests must be 21+ and be prepared to show ID and ticket to enter.)
