Overview

The Placer Veterans Stand Down (PVSD) is a nonprofit dedicated to giving back to our veteran community by providing FREE services to them and their family members. A hand up, not a hand out.

We offer annual events (once) a year and provide services including:
-Meals & optional overnight accommodations
-Haircuts & showers
-PTSD counseling & assistance
-Pet services: veterinarian staff, vaccinations & supplies
-Clothing & personal care supplies
-Health & Human Services Assistance
-Dental, Medical, Vision services
-DMV, legal services & child support (Placer County residents)
-Employment counseling & housing referral
-VA benefit assistance
